George Line links up with Graham Brunton Racing for Oulton Park GB4 round

15 April 2022

Former F3 Cup champion George Line will make his GB4 Championship debut this weekend (16/18 April) at Oulton Park with the Graham Brunton Racing team, completing a three car line-up for the Scottish squad.

The British driver won the F3 Cup at his first attempt in 2016, competing in a Dallara F308, finishing just a point ahead of his nearest rival after a nail-biting championship decider.

He remained in the category through to its final season in 2021, finishing inside the top six on all occasions, and was placed third overall last year.

His career began in karting in 2006, and he immediately proved to be a front-running competitor, regularly placing inside the top five of major competitions including the Kartmasters British Grand Prix, in which he was classified third in 2012.

Line’s car racing career began in 2014 with a stint in the Mazda MX-5 Supercup, before switching to single-seater action with the F3 Cup.

George has since taken part in both days of pre-event testing at Oulton Park, and is looking forward to going racing again this weekend.

Line commented: “I’m pleased to be joining the GB4 Championship grid this weekend. Obviously the drivers around me have already got plenty of testing and racing so we’re a little on the back foot, but I hope to get closer to the pace as the weekend goes on. Obviously the F3 Cup was very competitive, so I’m optimistic I can challenge towards the front in GB4 with Graham Brunton Racing.”

Graham Brunton Racing Team Manager Craig Brunton added: “We’re really looking forward to working with George and expanding our line-up to three cars for this weekend. He obviously has a lot of slicks and wings experience, so is a valuable addition alongside Logan Hannah and Chloe Grant, and I’m sure that with all three working together, we can achieve some decent results at Oulton Park.”
