GB4 race winner Leon Wilson steps up to GB3 with Arden in 2026

10 November 2025

Arden Motorsport has promoted double GB4 race winner Leon Wilson to GB3 for 2026, as the team returns to the series next year.

Arden handed Wilson his car-racing debut in GB4 in 2024, and the British driver led the team's expanded three-car line-up across this year’s campaign, taking his first two victories.

Wilson’s wins came at Snetterton and then at the Donington Park season finale, with his form being a huge improvement compared to 12 months earlier, pushing him to seventh overall in the final standings.

Having sampled GB3 machinery in several tests with the team across recent weeks at Anglesey and Snetterton, Wilson has now committed to his GB3 step-up with the support of his main sponsor, Kingston Carton. The former karter stays with Arden for a third year in succession, having been a part of its Young Racing Driver Academy before commencing his car-racing career.

Arden’s young driver programme has been strengthened in recent months with the arrival of several new rising talents, many of which have already commenced testing programmes with the team. Arden is also welcoming additional enquiries from potential GB3 and GB4 drivers as the winter testing schedule for both categories begins.

Leon Wilson said: “I’m massively excited to be stepping up to GB3 next season, and to be doing so with Arden Motorsport. This team has been such an important part of my career development up to now, so when they confirmed their plans to move back up to GB3 next year, I immediately knew where I wanted to race in 2026. It’s a big step up, but I’ve really enjoyed the testing we’ve done together so far, and I’m looking forward to more seat time over the next few months.”

Team Principal Garry Horner said: “We’re very pleased to be stepping back up to GB3 next year, and to confirm Leon as our first driver. As we grew our GB4 operations, we wanted to ensure our drivers had an option with us to continue their development, and GB3 is obviously the perfect fit. We’ve had a lot of success in various iterations in GB3 previously, and we’ll be doing everything we can to ensure this continues when we return in 2026.”
